GOLD HILL, Ore. — Alcohol and speeding are being blamed for a crash that took the life of a young woman.
The crash happened late Thursday night in Gold Hill. Jackson County Sheriff’s officials say 26-year-old Brittany Nieman died after the car slammed into a tree on Sardine Creek Road.
27-year old Johnathon Perkins, the driver in the accident, was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The hospital says Perkins is still being treated.
